NACC Holds Official Discussions with Representatives of the Swedish Prosecution Authority and the Swedish Police Authority
On 11 September 2025, Mr. Nitiphan Prachuabmoh, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), together with the Director of the Bureau of International Affairs and Corruption Investigation, the Director of the Thailand Anti-Corruption Center (TACC), and relevant officials, welcomed and held official discussions with a delegation from the Swedish Prosecution Authority led by Mr. Staffan Edlund, Senior Public Prosecutor, as well as representatives from the Swedish Police Authority led by Ms. Anna Josefsson, Detective Inspector, accompanied by Ms. Jane Ohlsson, Nordic Police Liaison Counselor at the Embassy of Sweden, at the NACC Office.
Both sides held discussions and exchanged information on international cooperation concerning transnational corruption cases. Mr. Staffan Edlund shared insights on the criminal investigation process in Sweden and expressed readiness to cooperate with the NACC in addressing corruption cases, including the exchange of useful anti-corruption information in the future.
In addition, the two sides explored ways to strengthen cooperation between the NACC and Swedish law enforcement agencies, particularly through the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for information exchange and case coordination, which would further enhance the effectiveness of corruption prevention and suppression.
