The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (ONACC) has presented NACC Integrity Awards to public and private organizations for being models of integrity and transparency, as well as good governance.
The award presentation, the eighth of its kind, took place at the ONACC Headquarters in Nonthaburi province on 29 March 2019. It event was presided over by NACC President Police General Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit.
Six organizations were named winners of the NACC Integrity Awards. They include 1) the Government Savings Bank, 2) the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, 3) PTT Public Company, 4) PTT Exploration and Production Public Company, 5) Thai Oil Public Company, and 6) IRPC Public Company. A total of 21 organizations received honourable mentions.
The presentation of the NACC Integrity Awards is meant to honour government agencies, state enterprises, institutions, and private companies whose operations are recognized for their great performance in anti-corruption efforts.
It also aims to boost their morale and upgrade Thailands transparency to international standards. ONACC also intends to promote the practices of good governance and corporate governance, as well as codes of conduct and corporate social responsibility.
The NACC Integrity Awards are enhancing Thailands transparency image to international standards including creating values for society in managing with good governance, corporate governance, code of conduct and corporate social responsibility which will be an effective way to depress corruption in the country.
The awards are judged based on several criteria, such as social, economic, and environmental responsibility, respect for human rights, compliance with ethical conduct, and adherence to transparent management.
