NACC Trang announces rulings against former Thung Krabue mayor in two corruption cases
The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission’s Trang Provincial Office (NACC Trang Office) held a press conference announcing the decision to establish grounds for indictment of Mr. Thanet Khuentak, former mayor of Thung Krabue Subdistrict Municipality, and others in two cases.
On March 27, 2026, Mr. Bandit Khanasuwan, Director of the NACC Trang Office, assigned Mr. Yutthana Wimolmuang, head of the corruption prevention unit, to attend a press conference at Hansa JB Hotel, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province.
Mr. Thawichat Nilkan, Deputy Secretary-General of the NACC Region 9, presided over the press conference, along with Region 9 directors.
The NACC Trang Office announced the decision to establish grounds for charges in two cases as follows:
In the first case, Mr. Thanet, while serving as mayor of Thung Krabue Subdistrict Municipality, Yan Ta Khao District, Trang Province, and four others, was found to be corruptly participating in the reinforced concrete road construction project in Ban Khlong Palean.
In the second case, Mr. Thanes Khuentak, while serving as the mayor of Thung Krabue Subdistrict Municipality, along with four others, was found to be corruptly participating in the reinforced concrete road construction project from Pa Cha Khaek to Ban Thung Samran.
