On 1–2 July 2025, a delegation from the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), led by Mr. Suchart Kruaykitanon, Deputy Secretary-General of the NACC Region 8, along with officials from the Bureau of International Affairs and Corruption Investigation, attended the 21st Secretariat Meeting of the ASEAN Parties Against Corruption (ASEAN-PAC) in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia.
The key agenda of this meeting was the discussion of the draft ASEAN-PAC Action Plan 2026–2028, which aims to enhance regional cooperation in implementing the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).
The draft plan focuses on four main UNCAC chapters: Chapter II: Preventive Measures; Chapter III: Criminalization and Law Enforcement; Chapter IV: International Cooperation; Chapter V: Asset Recovery.
This action plan is designed to promote the exchange of information among member states and to encourage active participation from all members, thereby strengthening the capacity and efficiency of anti-corruption authorities across the region. The meeting agreed to adopt the draft action plan as a regional guideline for the next three years, with a view to presenting it for formal endorsement at the upcoming 21st ASEAN-PAC Principals Meeting.
Additionally, the meeting addressed preparations for the 21st ASEAN-PAC Principals Meeting, to be hosted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), which will take place from 28 to 30 October 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
