NACC Reports Thailand’s Progress at the 6th Plenary Meeting of the GlobE Network in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan

On 22 May 2025, the third day of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network), Mr. Sornchai Chuwichian, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), delivered a report on Thailand’s progress in promoting international cooperation in information exchange to deny safe haven to individuals involved in corruption and to recover assets derived from corrupt practices, in accordance with the Beijing Consensus.

In addition, NACC representatives participated in a panel discussion on the topic of “Applying Non-Trial Resolutions in Corruption Cases.” The NACC has incorporated this concept into its legislative initiative to draft a law on Deferred Criminal Inquiry for Legal Persons, aimed at encouraging legal entities implicated in offenses involving public officials to cooperate with the Commission’s investigative process.
