On 21 May 2025, the second day of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network), the meeting addressed the consideration of the Draft Guiding Principle for Information Exchange. This document aims to establish a common standard for informal information requests and assistance in accordance with the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), to enhance the efficiency of international cooperation.
Mr. Sornchai Chuwichian, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), emphasized the importance of the proposed Guiding Principle, noting that it serves as a vital framework for strengthening collaboration among anti-corruption law enforcement agencies globally. He further expressed that the NACC is fully prepared to comply with these principles, provided they do not conflict with Thailand’s domestic laws. The NACC Commission has already approved the principle in support of the draft document.
In addition, the Deputy Secretary-General and his delegation held bilateral discussions with the Inspectorate General of the Security Forces of the Czech Republic and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia to explore potential avenues for future cooperation.
