NACC official visit with the executives of the Swedish National Audit Office (Swedish NAO) and courtesy visit to the Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden
On March 19, 2025, a delegation from the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), led by Mr. Vittaya Arkompituk, NACC Commissioner, along with Mr. Eakawit Wajjwalku, NACC Commissioner, Mr. Surapong Intarathawon, Deputy Secretary-General of the NACC, Mr. Phatthanaphong Chanphetphun, Assistant Secretary-General of the NACC, Mr. Kiatisakdi Putphan, Assistant Secretary-General of the NACC, Ms. Wanwara Silpawilawan, Director of the Bureau of International Affairs and Corruption Investigation, and other officials, held an official discussion with the executives of the Swedish National Audit Office (Swedish NAO) in Stockholm, Sweden. The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Claudia Gardberg Morner, Deputy Auditor General of the Swedish NAO.
During the meeting, the NACC delegation received a briefing on the roles and responsibilities of the Swedish National Audit Office in overseeing the performance of government agencies through irregularity management measures. The delegation also studied risk management approaches to prevent corruption and examined key cases uncovered through financial audits.
The Swedish National Audit Office (Swedish NAO) is an independent agency under the supervision of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Sweden. It is responsible for auditing government expenditures and reporting its findings to the Swedish Parliament, ensuring the availability of impartial, comprehensive, and reliable information. As the only organization authorized to conduct financial audits of the entire public sector, the Swedish NAO plays a crucial role in promoting transparency and strengthening public confidence in the efficiency of government administration.
Additionally, the NACC delegation paid a courtesy visit and held official discussions with Her Excellency Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, at the Ambassador’s residence in Stockholm.
